“I’ve been privileged to be a part of a church being reborn,” says Arden Strasser, who was an ELCA missionary in Zambia from 2006 to 2014. Although, he says, traditional cultural customs play a role in the church in Zambia making it not a “churchy church,” he is grateful “beyond words” to have been a part of the lives of its pastors and members.
