When the worship book entered the world, it wasn\u2019t so much a book, but one expression of the larger Renewing Worship process that was robustly engaged in between 2000 and 2005. As noted in the introduction, \u201c<\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">Evangelical Lutheran Worship <\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"none\">is a core rather than a comprehensive resource\u201d (<\/span><i><span data-contrast=\"none\">ELW<\/span><\/i><span data-contrast=\"none\">, p. 7). It provides a core set of resources\u2014liturgical settings, prayers,\u00a0hymns, and more\u2014that worshiping assemblies can use and build upon.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134233117&quot;:false,&quot;134233118&quot;:false,&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559738&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:278}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Much indeed has been built around this core resource in the past two decades: guidebooks for worship leaders, a hymnal companion, many resources for music leaders and choirs, helpful indexes, pastoral care resources, and so much more.
