{"id":1702,"date":"2010-10-05T15:21:17","date_gmt":"2010-10-05T20:21:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.elca.org\/hungerrumblings\/?p=1702"},"modified":"2010-10-05T15:21:17","modified_gmt":"2010-10-05T20:21:17","slug":"so-its-been-awhile","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.elca.org\/worldhunger\/so-its-been-awhile\/","title":{"rendered":"So it&#8217;s been awhile&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It has been a busy summer, but I am ready to get back at it in the ol&#8217; blogosphere! \u00a0Some projects I&#8217;ve been working on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Two new <a href=\"http:\/\/www.elca.org\/Our-Faith-In-Action\/Responding-to-the-World\/ELCA-World-Hunger\/Resources\/For-Congregations\/Hunger-Education-Toolkits.aspx\">Toolkits<\/a>: Gender and Hunger (set for a November publication date) and Water and Hunger (due out in January).<\/li>\n<li>An Ethics of Eating event in Minnesota (lotsa thoughts on food production and distribution and a reflection on the Eucharist soon to follow).<\/li>\n<li>Some new adaptations of our hunger education curriculum, <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.elca.org\/Our-Faith-In-Action\/Responding-to-the-World\/ELCA-World-Hunger\/Resources\/For-Congregations\/Generational-Materials\/Taking-Root.aspx\">Taking Root<\/a><span style=\"font-style: normal\">, including an overlay for adult forums, an outline for a Jr High lock in, and a guide for using it in a VBS. \u00a0These all should be posted to the Web site before the end of the year. <\/span><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><span style=\"font-style: normal\">A J Term course to be taught this January at the <a href=\"http:\/\/ltsg.edu\/default.aspx\">Lutheran Theological Seminary at \u00a0Gettysburg<\/a> in Pennsylvania. \u00a0As the shape of the course continues to develop I plan on sharing some ideas here. \u00a0Also, if you want to join me, sign up for the course!<\/span><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I look forward entering into the dialog again. \u00a0What do you want to talk about?<\/p>\n<p>David Creech<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It has been a busy summer, but I am ready to get back at it in the ol&#8217; blogosphere! \u00a0Some projects I&#8217;ve been working on: Two new Toolkits: Gender and Hunger (set for a November publication date) and Water and Hunger (due out in January).
