The film explores how the natural environment in various countries contributed to that population\u2019s ability to develop technologies that permitted them to dominate. <em>Guns, Germs, and Steel <\/em>discusses how access to basic (and then not so basic) technology set the stage for the creation of poor and wealthy countries. The three DVDs are ideal for a series of forums or evening gatherings exploring global inequalities.
