The ELCA Malaria Campaign launched four years ago with a goal to raise $15 million. This campaign was in response to a global call by the United Nations Millennium Development Goals to contain malaria by 2015. Thanks to this global effort, half as many people die from malaria today as in the year 2000, according to the World Health Organization. As of today, ELCA members and congregations—YOU—have raised $14.5 million and we are just $500,000 from reaching our goal! Thank you!
This last $500,000 is critical to fully funding the work of our Lutheran partners in Namibia, the Central African Republic, and Burundi. The ELCA Malaria Campaign has created a fantastic video to show how your generous gifts are supporting our partners’ work to contain malaria, and to announce just how close we are to fully funding all of the programs. Please share the video with ELCA members, congregations and Malaria Campaign supporters. And don’t forget to give to help us reach the goal!

The time is now! Please join us in this life-saving work by giving to the ELCA Malaria Campaign and helping us reach our goal of $15 million by 2015.
