Lutheran Potluck

Welcome to the ELCA Archives blog!

What is more Lutheran than a classic potluck gathering? Across the ELCA members come together for fellowship and sharing their favorite “dish to pass” as well as ideas for mission and ministry in their congregations, neighborhoods, and beyond. In a way, the ELCA Archives is like a big Lutheran potluck. We have records of the different churches from which the ELCA grew, dating back to the mid 1800s, as well as records of the first 20 years of the ELCA. These records tell the stories of people who came together to spread the Good News of Christ Jesus. Like a potluck, it’s a lot of different things all on the same table, but together it makes for a great feast. It is our hope that this blog will share some of this “food for thought” with you.
